The goal of VWS is to create 7-Figure Soldiers with the mindset of a military millionaire. With that end goal in mind to win the financial war on success in life, finances and family.

Veterans Wealth Strategy (VWS) was founded by Romeo Sykes, the son of a Vietnam vet who had PTSD and turned that personal hardship and time spent on the streets helping a homeless veteran friend into a mission to equip veterans with the tools to build wealth and personal success.

Joining him is Co-founder Pia Nordin, a 20-year VA expert and trusted advocate who now leads her own division within VWS, focused on financial literacy, benefits access, and legacy planning. Together, they lead with one mission: No Veteran Left Behind—Financially, Mentally, or Emotionally.

Meet Pia Nordin - Co-Founder & VP of VWS

With over 20 years of experience in Veterans Affairs, Pia has been a powerful advocate for those who served, helping thousands of veterans navigate their VA benefits and turn them into real opportunities for wealth building and financial independence.

Her deep knowledge, compassionate approach, and unwavering commitment have made her a trusted voice in the veteran community.

Having worked with various government agencies and veteran-focused organizations, Pia has now launched her own division within VWS , focused on providing hands-on guidance, financial literacy, and strategic support to help veterans transition, thrive, and build lasting legacies.

A son of a Vietnam veteran, Romeo Sykes turned a childhood marked by adversity into a lifelong mission to empower those who served.

After walking alongside a homeless veteran—sleeping on the streets and navigating the VA system firsthand—Romeo committed to building real, tactical pathways for veterans to achieve financial independence.

As a real estate investor, strategist, and servant leader, he founded VWS to transform warriors into wealth builders through education, access to capital, and legacy planning.
